Baby Kick Counter
In the third trimester, it is crucial to keep track of your baby’s movements, including rolls, kicks, turns, and twists, to closely monitor the baby. From 28 weeks of pregnancy, your gynecologist may ask you to count the fetal movements as part of your day-to-day routine.
While it is crucial to count the fetal movements, it can get difficult to do so. This is where a fetal movement tracker can be really helpful.
The normal daily fetal movement count is about 10 fetal movements in 1 hour when the baby is active. But you don’t have to panic if your baby doesn’t move 10 times in an hour. It could be because you have picked the time when the baby is less active or might be sleeping.
To accurately count fetal movements:
- Count the number of movements, preferably around the same time every day.
- Choose a time slot when the baby is very active.
- Avoid distractions and focus on feeling the movements.
- Use the fetal movement tracker: Simply start the tracker and click on the movement button every time the baby kicks or moves. You can also use a fetal movement chart to count fetal movements.
If your baby’s movements are fewer than 10 in 2 hours, try to encourage movement by:
- Having a mild sugary snack
- Lying down on the left side
- Playing happy music
- Going for a small walk
But if the fetal movement is not much frequent after trying these methods, ensure to contact your doctor immediately for further evaluation.
